So the Lakers are NBA Champs, a few more LA residents are behind bars for a week or two and life moves on. Kobe Bryant wins one without Shaq. He wins his 4th.
This has to stop. All the Kobe nonsense. Of course this guy is good. We all know that. He is going to put up his points, pick up his assists, nobody will deny he is a clutch shooter, but THIS was not HIS finals. This was Derek Fisher's finals before Kobe Bryant's, ohh who by the way also has four championships. This was also Phil Jackson's championship before Kobe.
AND THAT my friends is what I do not understand about what I have heard from the media. It is all about Mr. Bryant and how he saved the day again. How he is better off now and that he will change the NBA more so next season. Mustn't we remember that this is the guy with all the pressure on HIS shoulders who FAILED!!!! last season.
This year's team isn't much different, but they DID have home court and they were playing a 'somewhat' less experienced team of younger players who by all means overachieved.
I mean how obvious can one league get about what will become if a shoe company has begun to put out Kobe/Lebron commercials even a week before the conference finals were over. OOPS...guess that didn't work out. That marketing plan would have SHOT off if the Cavs had made the finals, not the Magic.
Thats what you get Nike/NBA/ESPN.
Ohh, here is that despicable SI cover too, showing who???...guess.

Thats what grinds my gears. It was not Kobe's moment. Phil Jackson now has more championships than any coach EVER in the NBA. Product of good talent though? Of course. Michael, Shaq, Kobe. Duhhh...but still, you have to coach them good. It's a TEAM game.
